5.2 Sales Document Conversion

Quotation can generate Sales Order (generated on the Quotation List page), and Sales Order can generate Invoices (generated on the Sales Order List page).

 

 

What is the difference between Sales Order and Invoice?
Sales Order:

It is used for customers to pre-order products with a ship date. Since the products in the sales order have not been shipped yet, creating a new sales order will not reduce the inventory quantity.


Invoice: 

Creating Invoice will reduce inventory Qty, and if payment is not yet received, accounts receivable will be generated.
